Residential Fire Compliance Inspections
A Certificate of Smoke Detector and Carbon Monoxide Alarm Compliance (CSDCMAC) is required as per N.J.A.C. 5:70-2.3 for residential dwellings at time of resale, or change of occupancy. Applications are processed through the gov-online portal, use the drop down for Fire Prevention, Residential Inspections, this redirect you to the correct website.
- A Smoke Detector, Carbon Monoxide Detector & Fire Extinguisher Certification is required for any change of occupancy or ownership.
- A Smoke Detector, Carbon Monoxide Detector & Fire Extinguisher Certification is required for any change of tenancy.
- Applications are applied for through the our website, use the "residential inspection" tab.
- The fee will be paid during the application process, the fee is $75.00 for the inspection, re-inspection fee is $25.00
